Delete your account
You can delete your OMG Chat account and the data linked to it at any time.
Option 1: in the app (instant)
- Open OMG Chat on Android, or go to omgvchat.com and sign in with the same account.
- Tap the profile icon (top right) to open Settings.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
If the app asks you to sign in again first, that's a security check. Sign in, then repeat step 3.
Open OMG ChatOption 2: by email
Email memegrinders@gmail.com with the subject “Delete my OMG Chat account” from the email address of your account (or include your Google account email or user ID). We'll verify the request and delete the account within 30 days, and confirm by email.
What gets deleted
- Your sign-in account, profile (display name, gender, country) and age confirmation
- Your friends list (removed from your friends' lists too), friend requests and online status
- Your gem wallet and unlocked items (unused gems and Premium are forfeited and can't be refunded)
What is kept, and for how long
- Purchase and gem-transaction records: 7 years, as required by Dutch fiscal law
- Safety reports involving your account: up to 12 months, then deleted automatically
- Call-setup data and relayed chat messages already expire within minutes and are deleted automatically
Video and audio are never stored by us. Uninstalling the app does not delete your account. Purchases made through Google Play remain visible in your Google account's order history. See the Privacy Policy for details.
