Community Guidelines
OMG Chat is about meeting new people face to face, and it only works if everyone feels safe. These rules apply to video, audio, text chat, names, gifts and reactions. They're part of our Terms of Service. Break them and you'll be reported and banned.
✅ Do
- Be friendly and respectful. Say hi, keep it fun, and skip if it isn't for you.
- Keep your face in view and your clothes on.
- Protect your privacy: don't share your address, phone number, passwords or financial details.
- Report anyone who breaks these rules. It's anonymous: the other person isn't told who reported them.
🚫 Don't
Adults only, no exceptions
- You must be 18+. Never involve, show, sexualise or seek contact with anyone under 18. We ban immediately and report child sexual exploitation to the authorities.
No nudity or sexual content
- No nudity, sexual acts, sexual gestures, or sexually explicit talk or messages. No soliciting sex or selling sexual content.
No harassment, hate or threats
- No bullying, insults, stalking, unwanted advances or pressuring someone to do anything.
- No hate speech or slurs targeting race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or similar.
- No threats, violence, or glorifying violence or terrorism.
No harmful or illegal content
- No promoting self-harm or suicide (if you're struggling, please contact a local helpline; in the Netherlands, 113 Zelfmoordpreventie: call 113 or 0800-0113).
- No illegal drugs, weapons sales, or other illegal activity.
- No graphic violence, gore or animal cruelty.
Respect privacy
- Don't record, screenshot, stream or share anyone without their consent.
- Don't share other people's personal information (doxxing).
Be real, not a scam
- No spam, advertising, links to other services, or asking for money, gifts or payments.
- No impersonation, fake identities meant to deceive, pre-recorded or virtual-camera video meant to mislead, or bots.
- No offensive or misleading display names.
Don't abuse the app
- No cheating the gem economy, exploiting bugs, purchase fraud or chargeback abuse, or creating accounts to get around a ban.
🚩 Reporting
During a call, tap the shield button (or the person's name) and choose Report, then a reason: Nudity / sexual content, Harassment or hate, Appears under 18, Spam or scam, or Other. You'll be skipped to someone new right away. Reports are reviewed and repeat or serious offenders are banned.
🚫 Blocking
Tap Block in the same menu, or block someone from your Friends list, a friend request, your recent matches or a chat. Once blocked, you'll never be matched with each other again, and they can't call you, message you or send you friend requests; if you were friends, the friendship ends. They aren't told. Manage or undo blocks in Settings → Blocked users.
For urgent concerns or anything that happened outside a call, email memegrinders@gmail.com. If someone is in immediate danger, contact the emergency services (112 in the EU).
⚖️ Enforcement
Depending on severity we may warn, temporarily restrict, or permanently ban an account, remove gems or Premium obtained through abuse, and report illegal content to the authorities. You can contest a decision at memegrinders@gmail.com.
